Splash® Selection

Since the Society’s formation in 1975 exhibitions have been subject to selection. For the first exhibition held at Shed 11 (namely Splash®) it was decided that the exhibition ‘selectors’ should be chosen on the following basis:

  • Selectors are to be non-Committee members
  • Selectors are to be different for each exhibition
  • Selectors are to comprise a panel of 3 and artworks are to be selected on the basis of a consensus amongst the panel.
  • Selectors are to be chosen by the Committee from a list of potential selectors (regularly updated) suggested by the Committee and general membership.
  • Selectors may be established artists, art dealers or those involved with reputable art organisations.
  • Selectors’ decisions are to be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Selectors’ names will remain confidential to Committee members.
